Vacuum Oven

A vacuum oven, unlike a general-purpose oven, dries samples without oxidation or residue formation. A vacuum oven is an ideal choice where samples must be dried either in the absence of air (vacuum conditions) or in the presence of an inert atmosphere such as argon, nitrogen, or clean dry air. A typical vacuum oven is equipped with two ports: a vacuum port with a needle valve for connecting a vacuum pump, and an inert gas port with a needle valve for gas cylinder connection. A microprocessor-based PID controller regulates the chamber temperature, while an analog vacuum gauge displays the vacuum level. An independent temperature safety thermostat ensures protection if the temperature exceeds the preset limit.

The primary purpose of using a vacuum oven is to eliminate surface reactions such as condensation or oxidation on materials placed inside the chamber. When defining the drying process, it is essential to determine the chamber size, vacuum pump capacity, desired vacuum level, and the time required to achieve that vacuum level.

Panomex is a leading vacuum oven manufacturer in India, highly recognized by professionals from food, pharmaceutical, metal manufacturing industries, and research organizations for its innovative range of vacuum ovens and customized solutions tailored to specific research applications. Panomex vacuum ovens are especially suitable for delicate drying processes, such as drying small components or removing flammable solvents.

Panomex vacuum ovens support nitrogen or inert gas purging and venting and are supplied complete with vacuum pumps, connection kits, and over-temperature protection devices. Optional accessories include temperature chart recorders and printers. These vacuum ovens typically operate at temperatures up to 200°C and are available in standard capacities ranging from 45 liters to 520 liters. Each Panomex vacuum oven delivers excellent heat transfer, rapid heat-up, and safe, reliable operation.
